# The concept
The idea behind the It-Book is to put all the information in one place, so that it stays current and consistent, unlike the usual forums that quickly become mazes filled with unanswered questions or wrong, outdated, or contradictory answers.
Here you can react to the documentation and ask a question on a particular line. After a possible exchange to clarify your question, the answer will always be a link to the documentation. Indeed, we consider that if your question has arisen, it is because the documentation is incomplete, and therefore we update it.
It's also a guarantee that the time spent answering a particular question will benefit everyone.
This innovative approach is essential to keep the technology small and simple.
By the way, "It-Book" stands for "iterative book".
Let's discover how it works.
# Structure
In respect with the Minimacy principles, the It-Book has a minimalist structure:
- the main page contains a list of all pages of the book. There is no hidden content.
- pages are either articles, reference documentation or source code.
- there is also an account management section
# Time Machine
At the top of each page is a list of versions of that page.
Clicking on one of the previous versions starts the Time Machine. The background turns green and a small frame appears at top left. It indicates the date on which you went back in time. Click on it to return to the present.

Of course, when you're in the past, you can't react to the documentation.
# Search
Use the input bar at the top of the page to search the documentation.
[
](html)
If the Time Machine is active, the search is carried out on the date displayed.
# React, ask questions
You can react to any line in the documentation. When you move your mouse over a line, reaction icons appear like this:
[
](html)
Reactions are:
{
! I like it!
!! I love it!!
? I have a question on this
A This line contains the answer to a question
}
Only registered users can react. Create your account, it's free, there's no password and all you need is your email address.
To ask a question, simply click on the "Question" icon next to the line you're having trouble with.
[
](html)
The side panel opens and you can enter your question.
[
](html)
Then click on "Send".
Questions are indicated by a colored icon on the page. There may be several questions on the same line.

# Answers
You will receive an email when the answer is available or when you are asked for clarification.
Remember that an answer will always be a link to a line in the current or updated documentation.
These answer links are indicated by an A icon. There may be several answer links on the same line. In this example, the answer and the question are on the same line, but they could be on different pages.

Clicking on the question or answer reopens the side panel:
[
](html)
In this example, the answer is a documentation update. If you click on the original question, you activate the Time Machine, which takes you back to the moment when the question was asked:
